Pun Intended: How Humour Unlocks Laughs, Lessons, and Learning

Sun 22 june – 9AM
NAFA CAMPUS 2 ROOM 3-05 (LEVEL 3)

Humour isn’t just for laughs – it’s a powerful tool to keep distracted minds focused and make even the most serious lessons stick. But weaving humour into a story isn’t always easy. It takes skill and creativity to strike the right balance, to ensure that jokes land with kids of all ages. Join us as authors share their strategies for weaving in wit, LOL moments, and clever twists that keep kids hooked.

sPEAKERS & MODERATOR

Ken Kwek

Ken Kwek is a screenwriter, film director and playwright. He spent his childhood watching movies on an ancient machine called a VHS player. Ken studied literature at the University of Cambridge and dramatic writing at New York University. He worked as a journalist and a cook for a few years, then wrote and directed several movies that (unfortunately) cannot be viewed on a VHS player. He is the author of two books, Kelly and the Krumps and Timothy and the Phubbers.
