The Big Question – What do Children Want to Read Anyway?

SAT 21 june – 9AM
NAFA CAMPUS 2 ROOM 3-05 (LEVEL 3)

Children are often told what to read. And adult authors sometimes write books that they think children should read. But what books do kids really want to read? Should parents dictate what children can read, but risk turning their kids off books? Where’s the balance and how do authors navigate the sometimes opposing demands – to create books that parents approve of or to create books that children find engaging? We hear the perspectives of a range of expert voices in Singapore’s publishing scene.
