Join us for a dynamic series of professional workshops exploring storytelling, writing, illustration, art, craft, and movement. Led by experienced creatives, these hands-on sessions are open to all—no prior experience needed, just a passion for learning and creativity.

saturday, 21 june

9.30AM – 12.30PM

Young Writers’ Workshop: Fantasy & Adventure (Malay)
Join Hassan Ali, author of the series Zac Rushd, for a fantasy-adventure workshop in Malay. Learn how to develop plots, build worlds, and create unforgettable characters.

2 – 3.30PM

Designing Fun-Sized Characters
A character design workshop by illustrator Rocky Leaw, using Faber-Castell materials to develop unique characters for storytelling.

3.30 – 5.00PM

How to draw a 1-page diary comic based on your own life
In this comics workshop by Andrew Tan (aka Drewscape), participants will learn to turn everyday memories into meaningful one-page diary comics using a simple drawing style.

4 – 5.30PM

Instilling Love For Reading Through Storytelling (Malay)

Join Raudhah Binte Alias, author of Feri Menjaga Kalestarian Laut, as she shares fun ways to bring stories to life using props, crafts, movement, sound, and puppetry.


sunday, 22 june

9.30 – 11AM

Crazy Character Generator (Ages 6 – 12)
Join Illustrator of the Year 2024, Chloe Chang, for a fun drawing workshop where kids create imaginative creatures by mixing animal parts using a playful bingo-style game.

11.30AM – 1PM

Creative Writing: The Three ‘P’s
Learn how People, Plot, and Place come together to craft original stories. Led by Pauline Loh, award-winning author and educator.

2 – 3.30PM

Future Bots: From Imagination to Creation
In this digital illustration workshop by Boris Tsui, participants aged 12 and up will learn essential tools and basic design skills to create compelling digital artwork. (Participants to bring their own laptops)

3.30 – 5PM

You Draw, I Draw, Together We Draw a Picture Book
Josef Lee conducts a fun workshop where a parent and child team up to co-create a unique picture book. Each pair leaves with a personalized storybook filled with shared memories.
