“Memupuk Minat Membaca Melalui Penceritaan”, specially designed for parents and educators to discover how storytelling can spark a love for reading in young children. This 1.5-hour session will introduce participants to various reading approaches used in preschool and demonstrate how to make storytelling interactive, fun, and meaningful. The workshop will feature engaging storytelling segments, craft activities, educator sharing, an interactive Q&A, and a special storytelling performance by the children. Highlighted books for this event include “Feri Menjaga Kelestarian Laut” and “Kayan Perlu Bantuan”, authored by Cikgu Raudhah Binte Alias.

Raudhah Binte Alias
Cikgu Raudhah is a dedicated Senior Lead Teacher and advocate for Malay language and literacy, known for her excellence and innovation in early childhood education. She received the Achievement Award in 2018 and the Outstanding Mother Tongue Award in 2019. Her articles on engagement and technology in learning were also published in MTL Magazine that year.
In 2021, she authored Feri Menjaga Kelestarian Laut and conducted storytelling sessions in schools and libraries, including on Pustaka Nasional TV. A sought-after speaker, she has presented on topics like mental wellness, technology in learning, and literature at the Singapore Art Festival. In 2023, she received the Teaching Innovation Award and the Anugerah Persuratan Sastera Kanak-kanak, launched her second book Kayan Perlu Bantuan, and spoke at the KelasMateMatika Retreat. Most recently, she published her third book, Kotak Misteri, with Alam Cahaya.

Siti Nur Mustiqah Binte Mohamed Mustafah
Cikgu Siti is a dedicated Senior Educarer with a background in bilingual education, having taught Malay since 2015. With over 10 years of experience, she also currently serves as a Malay virtual teacher for five centres. Her teaching philosophy centers on the belief that meaningful interactions are key to early childhood education. She is a trained in the Abecedarian Approach and was selected as a piloting centre educator. In recognition of her excellence, she was awarded the Promising Teacher award in early childhood education. Driven by her belief that children are not only our future but also our present—they carry the dreams we dare to dream and the values we choose to pass on.

Siti Nur Hikmatul Qadriah Binte Arifin
Cikgu Hikma has been dedicated to early childhood education since 2017, with a strong passion for nurturing young minds. Since 2021, she has served as a bilingual teacher, effectively teaching in both English and Malay. Cikgu Hikma believes that every child is unique, and it is her responsibility to support each one according to their individual needs. With this philosophy, she strives to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that helps children grow confidently and develop a lifelong love for learning.
