Draw with Kaoru: Step-by-Step Candy Character Illustration

Be part of the narrative as Por Por relive the experience in the colourful Wonderland Amusement Park, back in 1970’s! Get ready to pretend you’re on exciting rides and learn about nostalgic games and food from this imaginative, interactive, and movement-based storytelling session designed for children aged 5 to 9.

TWISTED TEMASEK

Everyone knows the story of Sang Nila Utama… but do they know that his wife liked to make sea worm salad? In this talk, author Ng Yi-Sheng will explain the inspiration and processes behind creating his first children’s book, “Twisted Temasek”, exploring Singapore’s precolonial history, with a focus on the gross, silly and violent bits of the past. In doing so, he will explain the value of connecting with local heritage, and the importance of making history accessible by approaching it not with a moralistic agenda, but a fun-loving, mischievous perspective. This talk will also include storytelling for younger audience members.
