Treasures in a Child’s Life
10 – 12PM / 12 – 2PM
Age Group: 6 to 10 years old
Duration: 2-hour art and theatre workshop
Part 1: The Artistic Journey (60 Minutes) We begin with a fun crafting session, where students translate their imagination into tactile art. Through hands-on crafting and design, children create their own “pocket” and character, giving physical form to the themes of the story.
Part 2: The Theatrical Exploration (60 Minutes) The journey continues as we move from the craft table to the stage. Using storytelling, movement, improvisation, and reflection, children discover that people, feelings, memories, and experiences in nature can also be deeply meaningful treasures.
Every child will take home their own handcrafted treasure and a newfound perspective on the world around them.
