Storytelling, Sticker-Making & Compost-Making Workshop for Kids
This workshop is based on The Three Hungry Microbes, a children’s book by Cuifen Pui and Dorcas Tang that introduces composting through a playful story about three microbes that transform food scraps into rich soil and a thriving garden.
After a storytelling session, children (with parents) will create their own mini compost using the Kek Lapis method by layering food scraps and wood shavings in a small container to take home. They will also design stickers to personalise their compost jars.
The workshop aims to teach children about soil care and simple, hands-on climate action through creative play and storytelling.
Beneath the soil, a fascinating world awaits.
Tiny microbes live in the soil. Sometimes, they get really hungry!
What happens when we take the time to feed them?
Join us as we journey underground to discover the magic that unfolds when we feed the soil and find out how they help us in return.
